A tangible product is a physical object that can be perceived by touches such as a building, vehicle, or gadget. Most goods are tangible products. For example, a soccer ball is a tangible product. A soccer ball is an example of a tangible product, specifically a tangible good. An intangible product is a product that can only be perceived indirectly such as an insurance policy.

There are four types of consumer products, and they are

• Convenience.
• Shopping.
• Specialty.
• Unsought.

A target product profile is a document that describes the features of a product (such as a medicine) that a company is planning or developing. A target product profile can also be used as a basis for discussions between the company and those regulatory authorities that will assess the product for release to the market.

A Product Offering represents what is externally presented to the market for the market's use. In practical terms, a Product Offering represents tangible and intangible goods and services that are made available for a certain price to the market.

A product is an item offered for sale. A product can be a service or an item. Every product is made at a cost and each is sold at a price. The price that can be charged depends on the market, the quality, the marketing and the segment that is targeted.
