- Name, title, and address of the employer – This goes without saying.
- Salutation – Writing “Dear Manager” in your cover letter is boring. Why not take some time to call the company and ask for the manager’s name so that you can address the letter to a real person?
- Body – The first paragraph should tell them how you heard about the position. As you transition to the next paragraph, provide a summary of your background and credentials. The next paragraph should demonstrate your reasons why you are qualified for the position. On the last paragraph, make sure to indicate your anticipation for their response.
