If a tenant fails to abide by a certain clause in the agreement, he has to be evicted. The standard procedure followed in such situations involves sending an eviction letter to the tenant. The problem might be on the landowner’s end also. There might be a certain emergency due to which he has to sell the property immediately or move in himself. Maybe you have been offered an even better offer from a company. Even in that case, he needs to provide a similar letter to the tenant. Usually, this letter is issued at least a month prior to the date by which he is to leave the premises.

5 Steps to Create an Eviction Letter in MS Word

Step 1: Create a New Document

Open MS Office on your computer and create a new document. Write on the top ‘Eviction Letter’ and align it to the center. You may skip this process and write the same in the subject section of the letter. We shall discuss this further later.

Step 2: Write Down Sender and Recipient Details

Write down the name of the sender followed by his address in the following line. Then leave a line and write the date. Skip another line and write down the name of the recipient. Right below it, write down his address. This most often is the property that the tenant is currently staying at.
