How to Create Your Business’ Problem Solving Proposal

There are so many problems that you have to face when it comes to running a business that you need to come up with a well organized plan that will help deal with them. While there are some which are minor to the point where you can have anyone to easily handle them, there will be those that will prove to be too much for just about anyone to tackle alone. Which is why you need to come up with a proposal design on a solution to these specific types of problems to ensure that they don’t get in the way of the business’s success.

With that being said, here are the steps you can follow that will help you come up with an effective business problem solving proposal:

Identify the Problems

This is without a doubt the first and most important step when it comes to creating the professional business proposal. You must first try to understand what the main problem or problems you want deal with before you can come up with the solutions. You want to make sure that everyone involved in the business—that means employees, shareholders, potential investors— are aware of them so that they’ll be inclined to go through the plan to see how you’ve come up with the solution to deal with them.

So what you’ll want to do is to understand your business in its entirety. You’ll need to assess all of the different areas and departments to see if there are any threats that could eventually end up ruining your business’s chance for success. Once you’ve spotted the problems that you want to deal with, you should write them down  into the plan sample. Explain all of them in full detail so that readers will have a clear understanding as to what has to be prevented or avoided.

Describe the Cause of These Problems

Now that you’ve pointed out what these problems are, the next step is to show how they’re caused. Just because you know what kind of problems there are doesn’t mean that you know why they’re happening or are going to happen.

For example, you notice that sytem outages are happening frequently within your establishment. Although you know they’re happening, you don’t necessarily know why, preventing your from coming up with the actions that will deal with it. By figuring out what’s causing these problems, you’re guarnateed to come up with the best possible solutions that will ensure that they will no longer end up being nuisances that will prevent your simple business from functioning properly.

If you don’t have the credentials or qualifications which allows you to do a thorough examination of the different areas of your business, then you can always hire someone to help you out. Although there will be some sort of payment required, it’s still best to hire a professional that will tell you everything that you need to know.

Come Up With the Solutions

When you’ve fully understood the cause and effect of these problems, you must then come up with all of the different solutions that you think will be able to make them a non-issue. Don’t just think of one way do to it. Think of the many different possibilites that will help you solve the problems that you have been able to identify.

You can brainstorm with your employees to help you think of the best way to deal with all of the main issues surrounding your business. Do that, and it will be much easier for you to pick which of them is the best way to deal with whatever problems your business is facing

Write Down the Best Solutions in the Proposal

When you’ve finally come up with a list of all the different solutions that you can go with, the next step is to pick which of them is the best option. While it would be nice to choose all of them, you have to be rational and think about which of them is the most effective and will cost the least—you won’t have much of a business if you put all of your money and effort into just solving problems.

So see which of the solutions would be the one you would like to place in the proposal. Once you’ve decided, the next step is to provide a guide that will tell readers how the solution is going to be implemented.

This is where you’ll need to go into detail as you want the people who will be tasked with implementing the solution to learn everything that they need to do step-by-step. The more information you can provide them, the easier it will be for them.

An example is having your personnel deal with electrical problems in your building. You want to provide them with the proper procedures that they have to follow to ensure that they’re safe, and to ensure that these problems won’t become too much of an issue.

Make Sure to Consider What’s Needed to Provide Solution

Let’s say that you’ve already come up with the best solution for the problem that you’ve stated in the plan example. That doesn’t mean that everything will go well or that the employee’s you’ve tasked with handling the solution will actually be able to do them. You have to consider what items are needed in order for the solution to be carried out effectively.

So you have to think about the different tools, equipment, or materials that will be needed to ensure that the solution is provided in a manner that will actually solve the problem. Try to understand exactly what has to happen so that you know what it is that has to be purchased or rented.

You must also take into account the budget template that has to be used in order for the strategy to be done. Think about how much will be needed in order to actually provide the solution. If you think that it will take too much funds from the business, then you have to figure out a different solution or make adjustments that will lessen the costs. Just make sure that you don’t sacrifice the solution’s ability to solve the problem by going with much cheaper options.

Consider the Risks

While you already know how to solve a particular business problem, you’ll still have to point out the risks that could be encountered by those who have to provide it. This shows that you’ve completely understood what it is that could go wrong, and that you have some sort of idea on how everyone should go about to avoid or prevent them.

Make sure that you take a look at all of the possible risks so that you can list them down in the proposal. Then you should come up with the ways in which these risks can be dealt with in order for your employees to either avoid or prevent them from becoming much bigger threats. Explain everything in full detail while you’re writing them down in the proposal.

Create a Monitoring Procedure

When the solution is provided, you want to make sure that its progress is being checked to ensure that nothing goes wrong and that everything is done right. This means that you will need to create a monitoring procedure that will make your employees know that the solution or solutions that need to be implemented will be monitored.

Be sure to outline how you or the people you’ve assigned to help you are going to do it. Doing so will help remind you and the others as to what has to be done in order to guarantee that the solution is provided in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
