17+ Event Ticket Design Templates, Examples & Formats
Whether it’s at a party, a wedding, a convention, a concert or a national football game; event tickets rule the entryway. These are found everywhere because of the organizers of the event: tickets are the means to reel in money. And for those who seek to attend these events, tickets are the keys to get their wants to be realized.
A good ticket isn’t too complicated to make. It shouldn’t look too plain or too out of this world. What matters is that everything about it makes sense from how handy it can be to being fairly detailed. And if it’s a good ticket template you want, it is exactly what we got.
Elements of a Good Event Ticket
1. Size: There is a wide variation of tickets. But the most appropriate for events fall on the near-dollar size. They don’t have to be exactly the same but those that fit the wallets, the pockets or pouches are handy and easy to keep.
2. Content: The ticket must have all the necessary details pertaining to an event but must be concise. People holding on to tickets don’t need to read a background story of their existence. What’s necessary is to inform them of the 3-W that stands for What, When and Where. At times, there are other specifics but these three are the most essential at all times.
3. Text: The text type and size should be legible. They exist to relay information in written form. There is no point in using them if they cease to be informative. As for the colors, use the text color that is a contrast to the ticket’s color or the graphics dominant color that these texts lay on.
4. Color and/or Graphics: For colors, anything goes as long as it allows the color of the texts to be read visibly. In using graphics or pictures, choose those that are relative to the specified events. To create good balance on a tiny ticket, fewer graphics usage hits the spot.

Steps to Make a Great Event Ticket
1. Choose the right paper material: Utilize the strong types of paper materials. This helps in keeping them for the longest period of time.
2. Include a few graphics or pictures: Pictures or graphics can be included to bring emphasis on what the event is all about. But take note, it is not necessary to fill the whole space within the ticket with these. The details of an event can be easily spotted if there is a space exclusive for the texts.
3. Make use of compatible colors with graphics: This will apply if the ticket is actually divided into two parts: one for the pics or graphics and the other for the specifics.
4. Use appropriate settings for the texts: Make sure to use a text type, size, and color that would support clarity and visual balance within the ticket.

FAQs
Are there tickets sold in installments?
There are times that sites or organizers provide this option. It is not commonly done but there are sites that opted to offer this process for people who cannot pay in bulk at the desired date of purchase.
Are all tickets printed out?
There are other tickets that are not printed but are still used in the same manner. Those are what we call mobile tickets or e-tickets. Some coded tickets belong to this type. But these types are rarely used for events though. Unless there is a major event that happens repetitively, let’s say yearly, these are brought out to selected groups of people possibly for promotions or as gifts to those who have a long history of patronage relative to the said event.
What would usually happen to the limited amount of tickets pre-ordered online that got a cancellation of order at the latest time allowed?
These tickets are often re-sold either at the same price or it turns into a discounted ticket. This depends on the organizers’ preferred approach to sell off all the tickets. Often times, they would have to evaluate first if reducing the price of the ticket would be necessary. In the event that selling those declined tickets become a challenge, the second choice becomes the only option in hopes of reaching their target sales.
