PSD, which is the abbreviation for either Photoshop Design or Photoshop Document, is a file type from Adobe’s Photoshop and is widely used for web design since it works best for the design-to-code process. These files are typically opened and edited on Adobe Photoshop, but even non-Adobe programs can open these files such as Corel’s Paintshop Pro and GIMP. If that is what you’re looking for, then check out our gallery of PSD Logo samples.
When we speak of retro style, it usually refers to the trends in music, fashion, or the mood in general of the recent past. It is a term that has been used since the 1960s to describe things in the past. It is derived from the Latin prefix retro, meaning “backward or in past times.” If you feel the retro style is your thing, then check out our gallery of Retro Style Logo templates.
To differentiate it from antique and vintage, retro simply refers to anything that looks out of style for the current time period. Antique refers to something that has been made at an earlier period—which, according to most people, should be at least 100 years ago. Vintage refers to something that is at least 20 years old or more.
