How to Make a Sales Mind Map in Google Docs
According to medium.com, a mind map is a visual aid that lets you interact with and organize your thoughts in a simple yet effective tier format. So, by incorporating a mind map into your marketing work, it becomes easier to create/review plans, processes, strategies and more!

1. Think of a Central Idea
Using the mind mapping method involves having a general topic to start off with and then branching out to more specific ideas. So, before putting together a mind map, you first need to come up with the main concept that everything else will be centered around; for example, your central concept could be “consumer types.”
2. Create Subcategories
With a fresh file/template in Google Docs, input your main topic into a center bubble--this will be the starting point of your mind map. Next, start thinking of more ideas that relate to the central concept. To continue with our example, “consumer types” could branch out to something like “regular consumers” or “impulse consumers.”
From your main bubble, add lines that lead into other smaller bubbles for your subcategories. Go ahead and give your new bubbles their appropriate labels.
3. Keep Branching Out
Now, think of even more concepts from your subcategories, adding more branch lines and bubbles from the initial layer of your chart! “Regular consumers” could now extend to “types of regulars” and/or “regularly bought products”; other concepts from the same layer could have the same/similar ideas or have their own that none of the others do.
4. Keep Going; Form Links
Continue thinking of as many ideas as you can, branching out from each new bubble that you add to your mind map. However, you should also be looking out for links between completely separate branches! If we go back to our example, “regular consumers” has a branch for “regularly bought products”; if “impulse consumers” has a branch called “usual impulse buys,” you now have the same/similar bubbles that link their main branches together!
