Step 1: Sign In To Your Google Account
To access your Google Classroom dashboard, you need to sign in using an authorized G Suite, Workspace, or personal Google account. If you don’t have an account, you can create an account first or ask for the sign-in details from your classroom administrator.

Step 2: Locating the Class Code
For teachers, you can locate the class code in the far-left corner of the page. The code consists of combined letters and numbers which you can display for your students to see, copy, or reset.

Step 3: Change Your Code
To change your class code, click the three dots in the class code box. In the provided options, click Reset Class Code. The code will then be changed into a new one which you can then share with your students or display. Repeat this step if your class code won’t work.

Step 4: Copy Class Code
If you want to send your class code to your students, you can prefer to use either of the two methods: one, double-click on the code, and right-click to copy the code. Or, you can click the three dots and select Copy Class Code or Copy Class Invite Link that you can attach when sending an invite to a student.
What happens when I turn off the code?
You will no longer have access to the class code and link and your students won’t be able to join the class using the code or link you have provided prior to turning it off.
How can I get a new code after turning off the previous code?
Go to your Class Settings and click Generate code for the class. This way, you will get a new code and link that you can send to your students who were unable to join the class.
I can’t see the code in my Google Classroom mobile app.
You can check whether your mobile app is updated or if it is compatible with your mobile. You can also try to uninstall and reinstall the app or clear your cache.
