Step 1: Create a new document

Open the file which consists of the logo, copy it, and paste it into your banner document where it will appear as a new layer. Resize it as necessary to fit. Press CTRL-T on a PC, and use the handles to resize the document as needed, using the shift key on the handles to resize proportionally.

Step 5: Add your company or website name

Select the text tool, pick your wanted font, and type it in. If it’s not the right size, adjust as required, as described in the earlier step.

Step 6: Add extra elements

Sometimes, a logo and name are sufficient. Other times, adding some lines and ornaments can add the specified interest to your banner. Create a new layer to do this so that you can make any changes necessary without disturbing other layers.

Step 7: Clean it up

Improve the placement of logo and title, and any extra elements, and then save your banner.
