Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Salon Manager to lead our vibrant team and oversee the daily operations of our salon. The Salon Manager will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and managing all facets of the salon's operations. This role is pivotal in upholding our reputation for exceptional service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations Management: Oversee all salon operations ensuring compliance with state licensing regulations and sanitation standards. Manage salon inventory and order supplies to ensure availability of necessary tools and products.

  • Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and mentor salon staff, including hairstylists, colorists, and support personnel. Schedule shifts and manage workloads to ensure optimal staffing levels at all times.

  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the salon's budget, oversee payroll, and set financial goals. Track daily sales and expenses, and implement strategies to increase profitability.

  • Customer Service: Maintain high levels of client satisfaction by ensuring quality of service and addressing any client concerns promptly and professionally. Implement customer retention strategies and manage client feedback.

  • Marketing and Promotion: Coordinate with marketing to promote salon services. Develop and oversee local advertising efforts and social media presence to attract new clients and retain existing ones.

  • Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and techniques. Facilitate continuing education for the team to ensure that the salon maintains a competitive edge.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Salon Manager or similar managerial role in a salon setting.

  • Strong understanding of salon operations, including staff management, budgeting, and health and safety regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

  • Proficient in salon management software and MS Office.

  • Valid cosmetology/barber license as required by state law.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in Business Administration or Hospitality Management is preferred.

  • A degree or certification in Cosmetology from an accredited institution is highly advantageous.
