Job Title: Data Center Engineer
As a Data Center Engineer, you will be the backbone of our company, making sure our information systems stay up and running smoothly. This is a critical job that requires a sharp attention to detail, a cool head under pressure and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Qualifications and Skills:
An associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Strong understanding of the basic principles of network design and management.
Familiarity with data center best practices, including security measures and energy consumption standards.
Strong problem-solving abilities and experience diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Design, manage and maintain our company's data center infrastructure.
Respond quickly and effectively to any network or system outages or disruptions.
Perform routine system maintenance and backups, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement system improvements and upgrades.
Monitor and manage energy consumption within the data center.
Experience:
Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a data center environment. Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar are highly desirable.
