Following the Municipal Act, 2050, and other relevant legislation, the Municipality of Bradford West Gwillimbury hereby establishes these bylaws to govern and regulate various aspects of civic life within its jurisdiction. These bylaws aim to promote the health, safety, and general welfare of residents, as well as to maintain order and facilitate the efficient functioning of municipal services.

Section 1: General Provisions

1.1 Title and Citation:

Section 5: Animal Control

5.1 Licensing and Registration:

All dogs and cats residing within the municipality shall be licensed and registered with the municipality following applicable animal control bylaws.

5.2 Leash and Restraint:

Dogs shall be kept on a leash and under control when off the owner's property, except in designated off-leash areas approved by the municipality.

5.3 Barking Dogs:

Section 6: Conclusion

These bylaws shall come into force upon passage by the municipal council and shall remain in effect until repealed or amended by subsequent bylaws. The provisions herein shall be construed liberally to achieve their intended purposes and objectives, and any ambiguity or uncertainty shall be resolved in favor of the municipality.
