Article I: Name and Purpose

1.1 Name:

1.2 Purpose:

The purpose of these bylaws is to provide a standardized framework for churches within the Assembly of God denomination to establish their organizational structure and operational guidelines. Article II: Membership

2.1 Qualifications:

Membership in the Church shall be open to all individuals who profess faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and adhere to the doctrines and practices of the Assembly of God denomination.

2.2 Rights and Responsibilities:

Members shall have the right to participate in the decision-making processes of the Church, including voting on matters of importance. They shall also bear the responsibility of supporting the Church financially, spiritually, and through active involvement in its ministries.

2.3 Termination:

Membership may be terminated for reasons such as prolonged absence, doctrinal deviation, or conduct inconsistent with Christian principles, following due process as outlined in the Church's disciplinary procedures.

Article III: Leadership Structure

3.1 Pastoral Leadership:

Article IV: Meetings

Article V: Finances

Financial matters shall be overseen by a finance committee appointed by the board of elders/deacons. The committee shall ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with legal requirements.

Article VI: Amendments

6.1 Process:

These bylaws may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the membership present at a duly called business meeting, provided that notice of the proposed amendments has been given in advance.

6.2 Denominational Approval:

Article VII: Dissolution

Article IX: Miscellaneous

9.2 Severability:

If any provision of these bylaws is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
