Job Description:
DermTech Diagnostics is seeking a highly organized and professional individual for the position of Medical Front Desk. The successful candidate will undertake a range of duties including patient check-in and check-out, answering phone and email inquiries, managing medical records, and coordinating appointments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
Verify patient details and insurance information.
Collect and process co-payments and fees.
Answer incoming calls, provide information or forward calls to the appropriate department.
Respond promptly and professionally to email inquiries.
Maintain and update patient records according to privacy regulations.
Assist with the release of medical records as needed.
Coordinate patient appointments and manage the schedule.
Confirm upcoming appointments and follow up on missed ones.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
Candidates should have relevant experience in a medical front desk role, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion. Knowledge of medical billing and coding is also preferred.
