Position Summary
The Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality education that aligns with the curriculum standards and promotes an engaging and inclusive learning environment. This role involves preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance, managing classroom activities, and supporting the personal and academic development of students.
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Planning and Delivery
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
Adjust teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Use educational technology and other resources to enhance instruction.
Student Assessment
Assess student performance via assignments, quizzes, tests, and observations.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Identify and support students with special needs or those requiring additional help.
Classroom Management
Establish and enforce rules for behavior and classroom procedures.
Foster a positive and respectful learning environment.
Handle disciplinary issues fairly and by school policies.
Communication and Collaboration
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress.
Work with colleagues and join meetings and training sessions.
Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
Student Development and Engagement
Encourage students to develop a love of learning and academic curiosity.
Mentor to foster students' social-emotional growth.
Plan and join extracurriculars, field trips, or school events as needed.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
Certification: Valid subject-area teaching certification or state license
Experience: e.g., 2+ years of classroom teaching experience
Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills; proficiency with educational technology
