Job Title: Accountant Job Duties
Financial Data Management:
Analyze financial data and create financial reports for decision-making.
Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
Auditing and Compliance:
Perform the computation of taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
Financial Management:
Advise management on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions.
Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets; prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an accountant.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent analytical skills and experience developing financial reports and projections.
Good understanding of data analysis and forecasting methodologies.
Knowledge of industry standards and corporate tax laws.
Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is highly preferred.
