Job Title: Director of Corporate Accounting

Our organization is looking for a Director of Corporate Accounting to helm the financial function of our enterprise. This person will be there at the heart of all our accounting decisions, ensuring everything operates smoothly, reliably, and compliantly. As a seasoned professional, you would be managing our accounting department, and developing strategies and systems for inspecting, maintaining, and strengthening our financial health.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Overseeing the operations of the accounting department.

  • Developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures.

  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

  • Create regular financial reports and analyses.

  • Work with external auditors and manage internal controls.

  • Participate in the budgeting process.

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and corporate policies, regulations, and laws.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Director of Finance, Accounting, or a similar role.

  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Experience with financial planning and analysis.

  • Aptitude for decision-making and problem-solving.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience with at least five years in a management role.

  • Experience in a similar role in a large organization or accounting firm is preferred.
