Job Title: Director of Accounting, Financial Reporting
Job Description:
Apex Construct Corp is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Director of Accounting to spearhead our finance team. The incumbent will be given the mandate of overseeing all aspects of our financial planning, accounting operations and monitoring of internal controls. This includes the preparation and review of financial statements, leading the annual budgeting process, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and liaising with external auditors.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to senior management and external stakeholders
• Oversee the end-of-year audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads on the development and monitoring of budgets
• Develop and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets
• Ensure our company adheres to all applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Implement and closely monitor our accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
• Proven experience as a Director of Accounting or similar role
• Deep understanding of GAAP and other financial regulations
• Analytical mindset with excellent numerical proficiency
• Excellent leadership and communication capabilities
• Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• MBA or MA in a Finance-related field; certification such as CPA or CFA is highly preferable
Additional Requirements:
Proven experience in budgeting and forecasting, as well as with various financial analysis tools and techniques, is a must.
