Job Description:

At BuildWise Constructions, Inc., we are looking for a reliable Accounting Officer to oversee and improve our financial record keeping. The Accounting Officer will work diligently to help maintain smooth financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the law. An ideal candidate will be abreast of all financial transactions, from accounts payable and receivable to expenditures and income, serving as an integral part of our financial team.

Responsibilities and Duties

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented, coded, and recorded in the accounting system.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and other financial statements.
Process invoices and expense reports, checking for accuracy and securing appropriate approvals.
Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers in a timely manner; resolve any discrepancies or issues tied to accounts payable.
Monitor customer accounts for outstanding payments. Generate and send out invoices promptly and follow up on overdue accounts for timely collection.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a similar field.
Proven experience as an Accounting Officer or a similar role.
Sound understanding of accounting and financial principles and proficiency with accounting software.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
Superb math skills and a problem-solving mindset.
