Job Title: Asset Accountant
We’re seeking an accountable Asset Accountant to carry out the critical role of providing accurate and comprehensive information about our organization's assets. The individual will be central to our financial reporting procedures and contribute heavily to the organization's business decision-making process.
Responsibilities and Duties
The duties of the Asset Accountant would involve:
Recording the cost of newly-acquired assets, tracking existing assets, and conducting periodic physical inventory audits.
Performing several accounting duties such as making accruals, adjusting entries, and preparing reports.
Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Qualifications and Skills
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, and relevant accounting software
Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Experience
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in accounting or a related field is needed.
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate must be CPA certified and have a keen eye for detail.
