Job Description:
ApexBuilders Renovations is seeking a talented Balance Sheet Accountant to join our finance department. The successful candidate will bring their keen analytical skills to bear, preparing and maintaining balance sheets and conducting financial analyses to steer the company's decision-making processes. This role calls for a proactive professional who excels at identifying trends and potential issues, as well as ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulations.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date balance sheets.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and fixed assets.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in balance sheet accounts promptly.
Conduct analysis to identify trends, variances and potential issues.
Prepare financial reports and recommendations for management.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Applicants should possess a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CFA designation is desirable. You should have at least 3 years experience in balance sheet accounting, with a proven track record in balance sheet reconciliation. Strong Excel skills are essential to this role, and experience with finance software like QuickBooks will be advantageous. Your analytical skills should be top-tier, with a keen eye for detail. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are also required.
