LETTER FOR EXTENSION OF TIME

TO PAY RENT

Dear [Mrs. Weaver],

I am [Albert S Hart], a tenant of your apartment [B3- B] for quite a long period of time. I am writing this letter to request you to allow me to pay my rent late for the month of [May].

As you must know the widespread coronavirus pandemic has left the economy in shatters, affecting multiple companies as well. I missed [14] consecutive days from work and have already spent most of my savings to tend to my father who is suffering from an undisclosed illness. This has put me in a difficult position to manage my finances including paying for my house rent. I am afraid I cannot pay the rent for May on time and therefore, want to know if an extension is possible. 

I hope you will consider my situation and allows this first time extension for me based on my previous good rental record. I can assure you that I will pay the rent for the month by [May 31]st instead of [7]th, as I usually do every month.
