LANDLORD REQUEST FOR REDUCTION OF RENT
Dear [Mr. Burks],
We have been living in this apartment for the past four years with excellent terms and rental records. But due to the recent coronavirus pandemic, my business is currently suffering and we are trying our best to make our ends meet at this point.
We have always been diligent when it comes to paying the rent on time and never questioned the recent increase in the lease amount as we could afford it. However, the conditions now are quite bleak for us. It is, therefore, a humble request to you to reduce our rent at least [$350]/month so that we can do a little bit of saving during these rough times.
In another case, we will have to move to a different area seeking a similar apartment at lower prices as the future seems uncertain. I, therefore, wished to inquire if negotiation in rent reduction was possible.
