    STANDARD LICENSE

    Each download from Template.net shall be in accordance with a Standard License, which governs the use of the website. Templates downloaded under the Standard License may be used to create End Products for sale, as long as lifetime sales or digital shares of such products do not exceed 50 units.

    Template.net does not own Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Publisher, and Apple Pages are copyrighted softwares not owned by the website. We therefore do not claim liability for the misuse of such software.

    The user has sole discretion to use available files form Template.net multiple times to cater to clients for various projects. Under the Standard License agreement, users shall have rights to these downloads for lifetime use. Such rights shall be exclusive and cannot be transferred or assigned to another. As such, the templates downloaded cannot be redistributed or resold.

    With the understanding of the terms clearly stated, Template.net thereby grants Users the non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferable license to use, modify, and display the templates downloaded.

    The downloaded templates be used in freelance projects or contract with clients. However, sales of over 50 units will not be covered by the standard license. For that, User will need to purchase and Extended License or multiple Standard Licenses. Creating products for a client will also transfer rights from user to client.

    The Standard License provides the right to use templates for personal or commercial purposes. However, upon download of a particular template, it remains on Template.net, and is therefore still available for download to other users. They too will have a non-exclusive license to the template. In other words, there is no sole owner of a template which is available to download for free on the website.

    The downloaded template can be customized or modified in whatever way the User wishes. These files can also be personalized to suit personal and business needs, with the added liberty of adding or editing text, images, color schemes, among others. The Standard License, however, does not allow the user to have files from Template.net be sold for profit, although it can be used on blogs, printed in paper, or handed out for the general public. Users registered with Template.net shall remain liable in case of client misuse of any of the products from the website.

    USE OF END PRODUCTS

    The following are requirements for consideration of use of end products:

    End products shall be significantly different from the original item and will require time, effort, and skill to produce.  These items are not to be sold in direct competition with the original downloaded item. End Products shall not redistribute the original item to any third parties in a manner that allows for the extraction of said original item. Should any of the templates be republished, user should give credit to Template.net and include the link where said template is originally found.

    TRADEMARK AND COPYRIGHT

    Users cannot register to trademark any of the templates downloaded from Template.net, or any End Products created with the help thereof, including logos. However, End Products can be copyrighted with the notice that user must identify assets used as pre-existing works, and are not owned by you.

    A third-party license may govern some of the templates on the Template.net website, the most common being the General Public License (GPL). Templates and all other derivative works may also be licensed under the GPL as deemed necessary.

    BUSINESS DOWNLOADS

    Having a business does not bar a user from downloading templates. However, the end product cannot be resold. For instance, buying a flyer template to print for your food business, to give to potential customers is well within the Standard License. However, selling the flyer, or any material which includes the use of the template, violates the terms of the License.

    MISCELLANEOUS

    This License Agreement makes up the entire agreement between you as a user, and Template.net concerning your use of its products. If any provision of the License Agreement is deemed invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of the provision will not affect the validity of the remaining portions of the Agreement. Other valid portions will remain in full force and effect. Any inconsistencies between the terms of this License Agreement and the Terms of Service, the License Agreement will apply only to the extent necessary to resolve the inconsistency.
