Excuse Note

Dear Michael Smith,

I am writing this note with a heavy heart, to let you know that I am unable to fulfil my commitments as planned. An unexpected family emergency has arisen that requires my immediate and undivided attention. I hope you understand that this situation is beyond my control and I sincerely regret any inconvenience caused.

Keeping in mind the mutual trust and respect we share, I want to assure you that I have every intention to make up for the lost time once this difficult period has passed. I am committed to making things right and continuing to deliver the standard of work you have come to expect from me.

I hope for your understanding and support during this challenging moment and I am assured that you will extend the same. We always worked as a team which was our strength and it's this strength that gives me confidence in penning down this note.

I am also making the necessary arrangements on my end to reduce the impact of my absence. I assure you that I will keep abreast of the current projects and will be checking and responding to messages when possible.
