Creating Harmonious Colour Schemes

Introduction

This module will introduce students to the principles of colour theory, balance, and contrast. The objective is to enable students to create impactful and visually appealing designs through the application of harmonious colour schemes.

Activities

Activity 1: Colour Theory Lecture – 30 minutes

In this lecture, the principles of colour theory will be explained. Topics will include the colour wheel, colour in context, and perception of colour.

Activity 2: Demonstrative Presentation – 45 minutes

This presentation will demonstrate the application of balance and contrast principles in creating colour schemes. Examples will be provided to illustrate these principles.

Activity 3: Workshop – 60 minutes

Students will work in groups to create their own color schemes, using the principles taught in the previous activities. Each group will present their color scheme and explain their decision-making process.
