Windsor Power of Attorney

Purpose

This Power of Attorney is to legally appoint an individual (referred to as the "Agent") to act on behalf of the person creating the document (referred to as the "Grantor" or "Principal") in matters concerning their property and personal care.

I. Appointment of Attorney

II. General Authority

III. Specific Authority

A. Property Care: I authorize my Agent to manage all aspects of my property, including but not limited to buying, selling, leasing, and maintaining real estate; managing rental properties and tenant relations; arranging for repairs, renovations, and improvements; ensuring compliance with zoning and property regulations; obtaining insurance coverage and filing claims; and any other actions necessary for the care and maintenance of my property, all to the same extent and with the same authority that I would have if I were personally present.

B. Personal Care: I authorize my Agent to make decisions regarding my care and well-being, including but not limited to consenting to medical treatment, choosing healthcare providers, accessing medical records, arranging for residential or nursing care, making end-of-life decisions, and managing any necessary arrangements for my physical and mental health needs. My Agent is empowered to act in all matters concerning my care with the same authority that I would have if I were personally capable of making such decisions.

IV. Duration

This Power of Attorney shall become effective immediately upon my signature and shall remain in full force and effect until revoked by me in writing or by a court order.

V. Revocation

I reserve the right to revoke this Power of Attorney at any time and for any reason by providing written notice to my Agent. Such revocation shall be effective upon delivery to my Agent.

VI. Reliance by Third Parties

Any third party who receives a duly executed copy of this Power of Attorney may rely upon it as if it were an original, and my Agent may exercise the powers granted herein without obtaining the consent or approval of any third party.

VII. Governing Law

This Power of Attorney shall be governed by and construed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
