Free Meghalaya Itinerary

Day 1

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

• Arrive in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, and check into your hotel.

12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

• Visit the Don Bosco Museum and lunch at a local restaurant, enjoying the flavors of Meghalaya.

3:00 PM - onwards

• Explore Police Bazar, the bustling market area of Shillong, dinner, and shop for souvenirs.

Day 2

8:00 AM - 11:00 AM

• Depart for Cherrapunji and visit the Shillong Peak.

11:00 AM - 2:00 PM

• Arrive in Cherrapunji and visit the Nohkalikai Falls. Lunch at a local restaurant.

2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

• Explore the Mawsmai Cave and visit the Eco Park for stunning views of the Seven Sisters Falls and the Bangladesh plains.

5:00 PM - onwards

• Return to Shillong and enjoy a leisurely evening in Police Bazar. Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3

7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

• Depart for Mawlynnong and start the trek to the Living Root bridges. Breakfast at a local restaurant.

12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

• Trek through the dense forests of Meghalaya, crossing picturesque streams and bamboo bridges. Have a packed lunch for a picnic.

3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

• Reach the living root bridges, marveling at the ingenious craftsmanship of the Khasi tribes.

6:00 PM - onwards

Return to Mawlynnong and relax after the trek. Dinner at your accommodation.

Day 4

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

• Breakfast at your accommodation in Mawlynnong. Check out and depart for Shillong.

12:00 PM - 3:00 PM

• En route to Shillong, stop at Dawki to visit the crystal-clear Umngot River and take a boat ride.

3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

• Arrive in Shillong and have lunch at a local restaurant. Visit the Elephant Falls and explore the surrounding area.

6:00 PM - onwards

• Depart for your onward journey or stay overnight in Shillong if your schedule permits.
