Free Tractor Inspection Checklist

• Check tire pressure and condition for any signs of wear or damage.

• Inspect all fluid levels, including engine oil, coolant, and hydraulic fluids.

• Ensure all lights and warning signals are functioning properly.

• Verify that all controls and gauges are operational and readable.

• Inspect the condition of belts and hoses for any signs of wear or cracks.

• Examine the engine for any oil leaks or unusual noises.

• Check the air filter and clean or replace if necessary.

• Ensure the battery terminals are clean and the battery is fully charged.

• Inspect the transmission fluid level and condition.

• Test the clutch for smooth operation and absence of abnormal sounds.

• Check the function of the emergency shut-off switch.

• Verify the functionality of all safety interlock systems.

• Inspect the seatbelt and ensure it fastens and releases correctly.

• Test the steering system for any play or resistance.

• Ensure the brakes are fully functional and responsive.

• Check for any hydraulic fluid leaks around hoses and fittings.

• Verify the hydraulic fluid level and top off if necessary.

• Test the operation of all hydraulic functions, including lift and tilt.

• Inspect hydraulic cylinders for wear or damage.

• Ensure quick-connect/disconnect hydraulic fittings are clean and functional.

• Clean the tractor to remove any dirt or debris.

• Inspect for any new damage or issues that may have occurred during operation.

• Refill the fuel tank and check for proper fuel cap fitment.

• Lubricate grease points as per manufacturer’s recommendations.

• Record any maintenance issues or inspections performed in the logbook.
