1. Purpose
The purpose of this Office Security Policy is to establish guidelines to protect employees, visitors, physical assets, and sensitive information in the office environment. By adhering to this policy, we aim to maintain a secure and professional workplace.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors entering the office premises. Compliance is mandatory for maintaining the integrity and safety of the office environment.
3. Policy Guidelines
Access Control
Office access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Employees must use their access cards to enter secured areas.
Visitors must sign in at the reception desk, present a valid ID, and wear a visitor badge at all times.
Access cards are non-transferable. Lost or stolen cards must be reported to the Security Department immediately.
Visitor Management
All visitors must be pre-registered by an employee and escorted at all times.
Unescorted visitors are not allowed in restricted areas.
Visitors must return their badges upon departure.
Physical Security
Doors and windows must be secured after business hours.
Employees are responsible for locking their workstations and securing sensitive documents when unattended.
Security cameras monitor common areas and entry points 24/7.
Security alarms must remain active outside office hours.
Workplace Conduct
Tailgating (following someone through a secure door without proper authentication) is strictly prohibited.
Employees are encouraged to challenge unrecognized individuals or report them to Security.
Personal items such as bags and purses should not be left unattended.
Emergency Procedures
In case of emergency evacuation, employees must follow the designated escape routes and assembly points as outlined in the Emergency Response Plan.
Employees must promptly report security incidents or suspicious activities to the Security Department or a supervisor.
Technology and Information Security
Devices must be password-protected, and screens locked when unattended.
Sensitive information must be stored in secure systems or locked file cabinets.
Unauthorized use of office equipment or networks is strictly prohibited.
