1. Introduction and Declaration
Declaration of Intent
We, Zena Frami and Dexter Dicken, currently residing at Lubbock, TX 79401, being of sound mind and free of any coercion, declare this document to be our Last Will and Testament. This will revoke any prior wills or codicils made by either of us individually or jointly.
Purpose of This Will
The primary purpose of this will is to ensure the care and well-being of our minor children should both of us pass away.
2. Identification of Family Members
Children:
We are the parents of the following minor children:
Nadette Ritchie, Date of Birth: March 12, 2051
Macey Erdman, Date of Birth: August 22, 2053
Harold Abern, Date of Birth: January 5, 2055
Legal Guardianship Designation
We understand that by naming guardians, we are choosing individuals who will care for our children and make parental decisions in the event of our passing.
3. Designation of Guardians for Minor Children
Primary Guardian:
In the event of the death of both Zena Frami and Dexter Dicken, we hereby designate Ellis Bednar, residing Garland, TX 75040, as the legal guardian of our minor children.
Alternate Guardian:
If the Primary Guardian is unable or unwilling to serve as guardian, we designate Naomi Ortiz, residing at Irving, TX 75038, as the alternate legal guardian.
4. Responsibilities and Wishes for Guardians
Parental Responsibilities:
The designated guardian shall have full legal and parental responsibilities for the care, education, and upbringing of our minor children.
Educational and Personal Values:
We ask that the guardian respect and strive to uphold the following values and preferences in raising our children:
Provide for a well-rounded education, including academic, social, and extracurricular opportunities.
Encourage values of respect, kindness, and integrity.
Maintain, where possible, regular contact with our extended family members, including grandparents on both sides.
5. Assets and Financial Support for Children
Establishment of a Trust for Children’s Benefit:
We direct that any assets intended for our minor children’s care be held in a trust to be managed by the trustee named below. This trust will be used to support the children’s needs, education, and overall well-being.
Trustee Appointment:
We hereby appoint Agustin Jerde as the trustee responsible for managing any assets or funds for the benefit of our minor children.
Alternate Trustee:
Should the primary trustee be unable or unwilling to serve, Reyes Bayer will serve as the alternate trustee.
6. Executor Appointment
Primary Executor:
We appoint Lyda Fadel, residing at Madison, WI 53701, to serve as the executor of this will, responsible for overseeing the legal processes and ensuring our wishes are carried out.
Alternate Executor:
Should the primary executor be unable or unwilling to serve, Elisa West, residing at Arlington, TX 76001, will act as the alternate executor.
