This role entails leading and managing a team of dispatchers, assigning tasks, scheduling drivers or field personnel, optimizing routes and ensuring all dispatch operations run smoothly. The right candidate should possess leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a strong focal point on customer service and company efficiencies.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Schedule and assign tasks to drivers or field personnel.

Monitor real-time activities and ensure smooth running of dispatch operations.

Optimize delivery routes to reduce time and costs.

Lead, train and supervise a team of dispatchers optimally.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Qualifications and Skills:
An ideal candidate should display strong leadership qualities, strategic planning abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in using dispatch software. They should also demonstrate their ability to manage time effectively and to motivate team members to achieve optimal efficiency.
Experience:
Ideal candidates must have at least five years of management experience in a similar role, with proven effectiveness in overseeing dispatch operations and personnel. Experience with dispatch software also will be considered favorably.
Additional Requirements:
Professional certification in logistics or related field will be preferred. A background check and pre-employment drug screen will also be required.
