We are seeking an empathetic and professional individual to join our team as a Funeral Assistant. In this role, you will support our Funeral Directors by assisting with funeral service preparations and procedures to help families during their time of need. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a compassionate attitude, and the ability to handle highly emotional and sensitive situations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist with funeral services preparations, processing documents, maintaining case files and other pertinent information.

Work directly with grieving family members and act as a point of contact throughout the funeral service.

Preparation of the body for viewing and burial.

Assist in the logistics of moving the body from the mortuary to the funeral location.

Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the funeral home.

Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to funeral service operations.
Qualifications and Skills:

High School diploma or GED equivalent. A degree in mortuary science is a plus.

Proven experience as a Funeral Assistant or a similar role in customer service.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle emotional and sensitive situations with professionalism and respect.
Additional Requirements:
Applicants must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays during times of need. You must also be comfortable working in an environment where you are regularly exposed to emotional distress.
