In this role, you will provide crucial classroom support, helping our educators deliver quality lessons and ensure a positive learning environment for our students. Responsibilities and Duties:
As an Instructional Assistant, you will:
Assist teachers in preparing and implementing lesson plans
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students needing additional academic assistance
Help manage classroom behaviour to ensure a supportive, inclusive learning environment
Supervise students during activities, recess, and other non-instructional periods for their safety and well-being
Assist with student assessments, tests, assignments, and provide feedback to teachers
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate will have:
An associate degree in education or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Prior experience in a classroom setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for diverse student populations
Ability to effectively manage and supervise students
Patience and resilience in dealing with challenging situations
