Job Title: Food Safety Specialist
Halley Restaurant, a vibrant dining destination, seeks an experienced Food Safety Specialist. This critical role is responsible for maintaining our high standard of food safety and sanitation and ensuring compliance with local, national, and international food safety regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
Our ideal candidate holds a degree in Food Safety, Microbiology, or a similar field, and has comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and guidelines. A strong understanding of risk assessment systems and food safety best practices is crucial. Excellent communication skills for effective employee training on food safety, sanitation, and hygiene are needed.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Food Safety Specialist or in a related role within the food industry is required. Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing preventive measures to mitigate food safety risks is vital to this position.
Responsibilities and Duties
Stay informed about local, national, and international food safety regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Perform risk assessments to identify food safety risks, establish critical control points, and implement preventive measures.
Provide training to employees on best practices in food safety, sanitation, and hygiene.
Additional Requirements
Certification from a recognized Food Safety Organisation is a plus. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid changes in regulations are crucial.
