Job Description:

FoodieBites is seeking a Public Relations Officer who will focus on Media Relations. Our ideal candidate is capable of developing and maintaining valuable relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers alike. This role involves creating compelling content, managing crisis communication, and ensuring professional responses to media inquiries. If you possess strong communication skills and an adept ability to manage PR crises effectively, you might be the asset we need to further our brand presence.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media stakeholders.

• Create and distribute press releases, media advisories, and news articles.

• Organize and facilitate interviews, press conferences, and media events.

• Monitor media coverage and prepare detailed reports for senior management.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency in messaging and branding.

• Develop and execute crisis communication plans to handle potential PR issues.

• Act as organizational spokesperson during crises and manage sensitive issues with collaboration from legal and senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or relevant field.

• Proven experience as a Public Relations Officer or equivalent position.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in utilizing various social media platforms.

• Ability to handle high-stress situations during organizational crises.

Additional Requirements:

• Availability for occasional weekend and evening work to facilitate media events and address crises.

• Willingness to travel as needed for relationship building and crisis management.
