Westerly Studios is seeking for a seasoned Director of Revenue Accounting to guide our financial growth. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our finance team, providing business insights, overseeing revenue recognition, monitoring revenue trends, accounting variances, and key performance indicators in line with accounting standards. This role requires familiarity with the latest industry changes and adeptness in aligning our revenue accounting practices with requirements and best practices.
Responsibilities and Duties
Your responsibilities as the Director of Revenue Accounting include:
Overseeing the accurate and timely recognition of revenue following accounting standards.
Analyzing revenue trends and variances for actionable insights.
Tracking and reporting key performance indicators for revenue operations.
Routinely scanning for industry changes and regulatory requirements that may impact revenue accounting.
Ensuring our accounting practices align with industry best practices and standards.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Director of Revenue Accounting position should possess the following qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, a master's degree is preferable.
Minimum of eight years experience in a similar role.
Strong affinity for recognizing industry changes and implementing requirements and best practices.
Proficient use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
