Job Title: Assistant Nurse, Patient Care
At Oasis General Hospital, we are currently seeking an Assistant Nurse for our Patient Care department. An integral member of our healthcare team, the Assistant Nurse will provide quality patient assistance and care, from monitoring vital signs to assisting patients in daily activities. The ideal candidate has a nurturing demeanor, a keen eye for detail, and excellent collaborative skills to work effectively within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.

Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and respiratory rate.

Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.

Respond promptly to call lights and requests, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse or healthcare provider.

Collect and document patient information relating to their medical history and current condition.

Collaborate closely with registered nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals on patient care.

Prepare patients for medical procedures and aid in examinations or treatments.

Perform wound care, catheterization, and other medical procedures as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized patient environment.
Qualifications:
As an Assistant Nurse, you must have a valid nursing credential and a minimum of one year working in a patient care setting. Your skills should include strong communication, very good interpersonal abilities, critical thinking, and a strong sense of empathy. Familiarity with electronic medical records is required. A bachelor's in nursing will be an advantage.
