Job Title: IT Cyber Security Specialist

An opportunity has arisen for an alert, analytical, and adept IT Cyber Security Specialist. As our cyber knight, you'll be the front line of defense against the dark side of the digital world. Your principal objective is to protect and fortify our organization's computer systems, networks, and crucial data from relentless security breaches, malevolent cyber attacks, and unauthorized access.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a cyber security specialist, you'll be:

• Designing robust security frameworks.

• Identifying loopholes and recommending risk mitigation.

• Dealing with security incidents, providing forensic analysis and cause analysis.

• Regularly reviewing and updating security policies, protocols, and procedures.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

A successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

• A degree in Computer science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related qualification.

• CEH, CISSP, CISMP, or a similar certification is highly advantageous.

• Substantial working prowess in IT security.

• Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts

• Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.

• Deep understanding of risk analysis, incident response, and IT contingency planning.

Experience

Prospective candidates should have heightened experience and practical skills in the detection, prevention, and rectification of security threats and breaches, with a minimum of 3 years in IT cyber security.
