Qualifications and Skills
To be a fit for this position you will ideally have:
A degree in Automotive Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in automotive design, comprising 2D sketching and 3D modeling.
Proficiency in using CAD software to develop designs and layouts.
An understanding of automotive technology, manufacturing processes, and materials.
Strong observational skills, with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
An innovative mindset, capable of thinking outside the box to solve design challenges.
Responsibilities and Duties
The duties of an Automotive Designer include but are not limited to:
Developing original, innovative vehicle designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
Collaborating closely with engineers to ensure design feasibility and effective integration of mechanical components.
Presenting design ideas and concepts to stakeholders for approval.
Performing modifications and revisions as necessary following feedback.
Staying up-to-date on the latest automotive design trends to ensure the uniqueness and relevance of designs.
