Education Assistant
St. August Elementary is looking for a dedicated Early Childhood Education Assistant to support our team. In this role, you will work closely with the lead teacher to implement lesson plans and manage classroom activities while providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children. Your focus will be on early education, supporting the children one-on-one or in small groups to meet their unique learning needs and foster development.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
Applicants should possess the following:
A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
Strong understanding of childhood development and early education strategies.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to assist the lead teacher with lesson plans.
Experience using classroom activities to support child development.
Responsibilities and Duties
As an Early Childhood Education Assistant, you will:
Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and planning classroom activities.
Provide support to children one-on-one or in small groups based on their learning needs.
Create a safe and nurturing learning environment for young children.
Keep records and monitor children's progress, behavior, and social development.
Necessary Experience
Previous experience working as an Early Childhood Education Assistant or a similar role in child-centered environments. Knowledge of up-to-date educational methods and constantly evolving practices in early education is required.
