Production Designer Job Description

Job Title: Production Designer

We're searching for a highly-skilled Production Designer to work in harmony with directors, producers, and other key creatives in bringing the vision and concept of our productions to life. Your role will be pivotal in sculpting the visual aesthetics of each production, which will require you to create a conceptual world that tells its own story.

Responsibilities and Duties

Collaborate with directors, producers, and other key creatives to design the visual concept of each production.
Develop and manage budgets related to design elements.
Research and source locations, props, and other visual elements.
Oversee the creation of sets and props, ensuring they align with the overall visual concept.
Evaluate scripts and storyboards to identify any potential visual challenges.

Qualifications and Skills

Degree in art, design, theater, film, or related field.
In-depth knowledge of visual arts and stage design.
Familiarity with drafting & design software.
Ability to collaborate with a wide range of creative personnel.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changes in concept or design.
Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English.

Experience

At least 5 years of experience in the role of Production Designer or a similar position in film, theater, or television production.
Portfolio of past work demonstrating your talent and creativity.

Additional Requirements

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to travel locally or internationally for location sourcing and production work.
