Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
You will be expected to possess the following:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in running and maintaining agricultural machinery and equipment
Understanding of basic mechanical functions
Adequate physical strength and stamina to perform rigorous tasks
Ability to work under different weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an agricultural environment, specifically utilizing machinery and equipment.
Experience with routine maintenance and repair work on agricultural equipment is highly desirable.
Prior exposure to farm life and familiarization with farm routines would be advantageous.
Responsibilities and Duties
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Operation of farming machinery including tractors, plows, and irrigation systems
Maintenance, repair, and if need be, troubleshooting of farm equipment
Ensuring the safety and functional status of all machinery under your jurisdiction
Adherence to all safety regulations and procedures
Reporting any irregularities in equipment function to the farm manager timely
