In this position, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and integrity of the park by enforcing park regulations, investigating incidents, and ensuring the welfare of visitors and wildlife.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Patrol and monitor designated park areas to ensure the safety of visitors and the protection of natural resources.

  • Enforce park regulations effectively and impartially.

  • Investigate incidents within park territory and prepare comprehensive, accurate reports.

  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to resolve legal issues.

  • Conduct educational sessions for visitors about park regulations and conservation.

  • Respond to visitor inquiries and complaints courteously and effectively.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in law enforcement or park ranger role.

  • Completion of a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification.

  • Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.

  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Physical fitness to perform all duties under various weather conditions.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
