Job Title: Assistant Conservation Officer

We are in the market for an Assistant Conservation Officer who is passionate about preserving our environment and its resources. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work under the supervision of the Senior Conservation Officer to manage and enhance the natural environment in our designated areas

• Prepare, develop, and deliver education and public awareness activities focused on conservation activities.

• Aid in conservation patrols and law enforcement related activities

• Ensure that flora and fauna are protected and managed sustainably

Qualifications:

• Relevant academic qualifications or equivalent experience in field related to environmental science, biology, or conservation

• Knowledge in ecological principles, plant and animal species, and habitat management

• Experience in conducting and reporting environmental surveys

• First Aid Certification

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Effective communication, both written and verbal

• Data collection, analysis and management skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Flexibility to work over weekends and public holidays

• Valid driver's license and ability to operate 4WD vehicles
