  • Taking dental impressions or casts as ordered by the dentist.

  • Applying fluoride or sealants to patients’ teeth as directed by the dentist.

Administrative Duties:

  • Organizing schedules, confirming appointments, and managing patient records.

  • Handling basic billing and bookkeeping tasks.

  • Ensuring adequate dental supply inventory; placing and receiving orders when necessary.

  • Following up with patients after treatments and answering their queries about aftercare.

Hygiene and Safety Responsibilities:

  • Adhering to all hygiene, disinfection, and sterilization protocols in line with dental standards and regulations.

  • Ensuring the treatment area is clean, safe, and welcoming for patients.

  • Following safety guidelines to protect self, colleagues, and patients from potential health hazards.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Communicating effectively with patients, explaining procedures, and answering their questions in a calm, reassuring manner.

  • Building and maintaining constructive relationships with the dental team to promote a productive work environment.

  • Practicing discretion and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification from a dental assistant program or relevant experience in dental assisting.

  • Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in administrative tasks including scheduling and basic bookkeeping.

  • Current CPR and first aid certification, along with good physical stamina.
