Job Title: Power Plant Electrician

This Electrician will carry out an array of tasks relating to electrical maintenance, testing, and repair work in the power plant to ensure the smooth operation of electrical power production. This position requires one to be analytical, enthusiastic about problem-solving, and possess solid technical knowledge and skills along with a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Performing routine inspections and maintenance tasks on electrical circuits, machines, and equipment to ensure optimal functions.
Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical malfunctions within the power plant using testing instruments.
Repairing or replacing faulty parts in the machinery as and when needed.
Adhering strictly to all safety procedures and guidelines while working at all times to ensure the health and safety of all individuals and to prevent damage.
Assisting in developing and implementing preventive maintenance procedures to reduce downtime.

Qualifications:

Interested applicants must be a certified electrician with at least a diploma or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field. They must also have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrician in an industrial environment, preferably within a power plant. Knowledge of power plants' operating principles and safety regulations is a must.

Skills and Competencies:

Solid knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and power generation machinery.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical faults.
Ability to read and interpret electrical system blueprints, schematics, and layouts.
Excellent physical condition and height tolerance, as the job may require working in confined spaces and at great heights.
Stellar communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective teamwork.
