Classroom Contract
This Classroom Code of Conduct Agreement Contract ("Contract") is entered into on this [DATE], by and between [Your Name] Teacher, hereby referred to as "Teacher", with primary address at [Your Company Address] and [Student’s Name] Student, hereby referred to as "Student", with primary address at [Student's Address].
1. OBJECTIVE
This Agreement lays down guidelines for behavior, responsibilities, anticipated conduct, and penalties in the classroom, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment.
2. EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teacher’s Responsibilities:
The Teacher agrees to provide the Student with an equitable learning environment which includes but is not limited to: ensuring all lessons are explained and understood; covering all sections of the syllabus; maintaining and providing professional advice and feedback.
The Student’s Responsibilities:
The Student agrees to adhere to classroom rules; maintain an appropriate level of engagement and decorum ensuring active participation; respect the teacher and fellow students; and submit all required exercises and assignments by their respective due date(s).
3. RULES
The Rules require respect and courtesy; no bullying, harassment, or intimidation; attending all classes punctually; proactive in requesting help when necessary; and no use of electronic devices without prior permission.
4. CONSEQUENCES
The Consequences for disobedience or non-adherence to this Agreement may include but are not limited to oral warnings; written warnings; parent-teacher conferences; detention; suspension; removal from class or expulsion.
5. NON-DISCRIMINATION
The Teacher and Student agree not to discriminate against any individual based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, age, or any other legally protected characteristic.
6. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Emerging disputes arising from this agreement should be resolved amicably through roundtable discussions between the Teacher, Student, and if necessary, a responsible third party, before seeking any formal legal action.
7. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed following the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Teacher's address is located.
8. AGREEMENT TERM
This Agreement begins on the date first above written and continues until the end of the academic school year or until otherwise terminated.
