Dog Adoption Contract
This contract is made and entered into this 20th day of January, 2055 (the "Effective Date") by and between [Your Name], hereinafter referred to as the "Adopter," and [Adoptee Name], hereinafter referred to as the "Adoptee." The Adopter and Adoptee are collectively referred to as the "Parties."
1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ADOPTION
The Adopter and Adoptee adopt the following mutually acceptable terms and conditions as integral parts of this Contract:
2. ADOPTION FEES
The Adopter agrees to pay an adoption fee of [Adoption Fee Amount] to the Adoptee upon execution of this Contract.
3. SPAYING/NEUTERING REQUIREMENTS
The Adoptee agrees to spay or neuter the dog within 1 month of adoption unless a licensed veterinarian certifies that the health of the dog would be jeopardized by such an operation.
4. HEALTH GUARANTEES
The Adopter guarantees that the dog has been examined by a licensed veterinarian and is free from any known disease or condition and that the dog has received all necessary vaccinations. The vaccination records of the dog will be provided to the Adoptee.
5. RETURN POLICIES
If the Adopter is unable to continue caring for the Adoptee, the Adopter agrees to return the Adoptee to the Adoptee's care without refund of the adoption fee.
6. INDEMNIFICATION
The Adoptee will indemnify and hold the Adopter harmless from any claims, damages, fines, judgments, lawsuits, costs, expenses, and any other liabilities, including attorneys’ fees and costs, arising out of or relating to the adoption, placement, and ownership of the dog.
7. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES
Both parties represent that they have full power and authority to carry out the terms and conditions of this Contract. Any obligations and expressions of this Contract will survive the termination of this Contract for any reason.
8. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Contract shall be resolved through mediation by the rules of [Mediation Institution], with the seat of mediation being [Mediation Location].
9. JURISDICTION & GOVERNING LAW
This Contract shall be governed by and construed following the laws of [Governing Law Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
10. SIGNATURES
This Contract represents the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all previous agreements and understandings relating to the subject matter of this Contract.
