Key Responsibilities

I. Customer Service

IV. Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed.

• Place orders with our suppliers and track deliveries.

• Keep detailed records of inventory transactions.

V. Financial Record-Keeping

• Record sales transactions accurately using our POS system.

• Handle cash registers securely and reconcile daily sales.

• Prepare financial reports on a daily or weekly basis for review by the Cafe Manager.

VI. Menu Management

• Assist with menu planning and updates, collaborating with the Chef.

• Ensure menu boards and pricing are accurate and up-to-date.

• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure menu items are available and reflect seasonal offerings.

VII. Event Coordination

• Assist in planning and executing special events or promotions.

• Coordinate event logistics and communicate with staff members.

• Ensure events run smoothly and meet customer expectations.

VIII. Training Support

• Assist in training new staff members on cafe procedures and standards.

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members.

• Ensure all staff members adhere to company policies and standards.

IX. Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Adhere to food handling guidelines and sanitation standards.

• Report any safety concerns or incidents to management immediately.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus.

2. Previous experience in administrative support or customer service roles preferred.

3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

5. Proficiency in MS Office and/or cafe management software is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Comfortable working in a kitchen or café environment, which involves being exposed to various conditions such as elevated temperatures and significant levels of noise.

Working Hours

This is a position that requires working on a part-time basis, with an estimated workload ranging between 20 and 25 hours each week. The schedule for this role includes shifts during both weekends and evenings.
